I'm Sarah Bartnicka, a writer and editor based in Toronto, Canada. 

I'm helping a new generation of readers understand business and the economy. My work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, Fashion Magazine, and BetaKit. I speak on panels and with national media outlets, like Global News, about the stories I cover. 

I also write Milk Bag, a newsletter reaching 5,000 readers that feels like catching up with a close friend about the most interesting stories of the moment. According to Toronto Life, it's "uniquely Canadian (peep the title) and impressively insiderish." 

I was previously the founding editor at The Peak, where I helped turn it into the country's most read and most loved daily business newsletter, reaching more than 150,000 readers. The company sold to ZoomerMedia for $5 million in 2023. 

I've worked in communications for BMO and Stikeman Elliott, and have helped shape content strategies for BlackRock, the BDC, Walmart, TD, Radical Ventures, Willful, Mercury Bank, and Padder. I also taught editorial writing at Miami Ad School.
